US OPEN: SERENA WILLIAMS AND SHOULDER QUESTION

In a whirlwind of appointments sponsors Serena Williams has introduced a new sports bra and her own Tennis Racket - but when it came to her shoulder injury, Williams was so little cost as possible.

The 34-year-old who wants to win their 7th US Open and the Open Era record of 23 Grand Slams in New York, the last weeks has been dealing with a shoulder inflammation that has given her an early off at the Olympic Games. Furthermore, had Williams both in Montreal as well as pause Cincinnati last week.

Although Serena Williams is considered the favorite in New York at the start - but as far as their level and their shoulders remain question mark

"I have not played much and not training much. I feel only now getting a bit better. Hopefully I'll be able to make from day to day. " Said the world number-1.

"The US Open is of course a special place. I prefer of course to play a little more before I get to the last Grand Slam of the year, but you can just do nothing about it. You have to make the most of every opportunity. That's all I can do now."

When asked to elaborate on how problematic is the shoulder injury, jerked the No. 1 seedings his shoulders: "Yes, no, just shoulder-wise ... I feel better, that's for positive."

Williams moved with Steffi Graf's Open Era record of 22 Slams with her victory at Wimbledon this summer alike.

The triumph at Wimbledon came to some surprising defeats in major tournaments - Roberta Vinci in New York, Angelique Kerber in Melbourne and Garbine Muguruza in Paris.

"I know that she is a good player. I need to just give my best! " Williams says. " She's a fighter. She never gives up. I think one thing that's pretty impressive is how many balls to bring them back. One thinks, it is not the allerschnellste player, but it's pretty fast."
